A couple of old friends came to mind over the weekend and then, right on the heels of that, came this song playing on a loop in my ear. Thoughts of old friends – romantic or just friends – have a way of triggering these musical memories and I always pay attention.
More than one psychologist has made note of the melodies we hear in our heads, subtle messages of one kind or another. I’ll leave you to research that on your own. We’re here for jazz.
